Zoom b3 patch Ideas

I do believe that krist novoselic's set up consists of an ampeg svt(like many countless rock bassists) and uses a proco rat for distortion. since the zoom b3 has an svt amp model along with a proco rat model(squeak), you can give this patch a try.
Section 1: squeak: gain: 40, tone: 35, level: 90, balance: 20
Section 2: any effect you want
Section 3: svt: bass: 3, mid: 5, treble: 2, midfq: 350hz, gain: 35, level: 30, ultra: both, cab: ag8x10, mix: 50
I was gonna give you a patch idea for a fieldy sound, but since you've mentioned you've manage to get that fieldy sound, I guess I don't have to worry about it. I would of figured that it's easy to get his sound because he scoops his mids completely.
Sounds to me like a low-gained fuzz with an envelope filter. it's been a while since I've heard of this band. parts of that song kinda reminds me of acid bath.
Yeah, to be fair I'd never heard of them until I watched a video on YouTube. Something like 100 Years of Groove on Bass & Drums. I heard a section of the song and I thought "Let's check it out; seems good". Thanks for the Novoselic patch btw Crystalman85, you legend 
you need to actually create a YouTube channel or something where you upload a patch every so often and demo it. I think you'd blow up a bit in terms of subscribers. This thread is amazing and I think more people need to know about it.

Sounds like a bright tubey sound with a light but edgy distortion. give this patch a try.

This is a patch I create to closely duplicate the bright edgy sounds of a darkglass b7k ultra.

Sure thing, dude. well, I could do that. even though I post a lot of my music on youtube along with soundcloud and soundclick. but I have posted sound samples on soundclick in the past and many members here were amazed by my sound samples. I do play some familiar basslines as part of the demo. the last basslines I played on the demos were some iced earth tunes.
As for the sleep sound, I was thinking fuzz smile and I think the z-tron might do the trick. but yeah, I would assume you get that sound with a low-gained fuzz with an envelope filter.
Ive had a mess around but can't seem to get the right sound. It's either too overbearing for the fuzz or too much for the ZTron. Can you whiz up a patch of possible please? I think one of the keys to me not knowing where to start is not knowing how the tone knob works. But anyhow is it possible for you to work your magic? It's quite a deep booming tone, isn't it?

I would like to try your version, and I could share mine, the routes taken to get similar sounds can often be very different... Funny you mention his scooping, I keep my mids the highest of the three dials on both the amp and the active pickups, so I had to compensate for that.
I can grab the pedal and type up my settings a little later on today.
- If anyone can share any Limp Bizkit tones that would be great, I know they're not a popular band but Sam is a hell of a bassist, as far as 90s-00s heavy music is concerned (I hesitate in calling it metal or nu-metal).

Pitchshift down two semitones as Fieldy downtunes his bass, if you prefer to physically downtune, or have a Digitech Drop, that would work too, and in that case, I would use the ZNR to cut out noise here. (instead of the B3, I'm doing this on the MS-60b which allows 4 in a chain, so I have both on)

Page one - Bass 6, Trebl 8, Prese 7
Page two - Gain 93, Blend 100, Level 14 (adjust this for your setup so that the volume is right for you, in my setup I had to greatly lower this otherwise it was way too loud compared to clean)
Page three - Mid 7

Page one - 50kz -8, 120kz -8, 400kz +8
Page two - 500hz -12, 800hz +1, 4.5khz +6
Page three - 10khz +10, Level 100
I've recorded a video of how it sounds, however, the phone camera doesn't really pick up the clickiness of it, so I've recorded a little mess around sample through a DI into a garageband emulated amp:

I don't know how Fieldy writes music with such a horrible tone/sound though... It works with KoRn as a band, it just on its own it sounds nasty.

Okay...that patch you've posted is one patch I had in mind, only with less gain. my other idea for a scooped fieldy sound is using a gallien-krueger amp model with the color set to mid(which gives it a smooth scooped sound) with an eden 4x10 model added with an exciter for extra punch. here's the settings to that.

I don't know much about sam rivers, but I would assume his sound is like warm bass sound. give this patch a try and see if it works out for you.

Geetard and I have posted a fieldy patch. check out posts #1633 and #1634 and see which fieldy patch suits you well. hopefully our patch ideas will help you out.
Okay...so if the fuzz isn't working out, perhaps a warm distortion will. I was thinking of the xotic bass bb preamp model might work. here's a setting I had in mind.
Section 1: Bass bb: gain: 10, bass: 3, treble: -2, blend: 40, level: 80
Section 2: autowah: sense: 3, reso: 5, dry:50, level: 90
Section 3: Monotone: bass: 4, mid: 4, treble: 3, midfq: 250hz, gain: 45, level:90, char: flat, cab: ag1x15, mix: 50
