Hey has anyone made a killer delay and reverb patch?? Delay is probably my fav effect next to dirt and the delays in the 60b are awight but I'm wondering if any of you have made a killer delay patch.
Yeah. I added the MS60B's limiter before moving up this pedal before the LMB-3 in my chain. It sounds good to my ears anyway. Wonder how close it is to the real Mad Professor...
If you're using the stock patches, nearly every one has levels that are too high. There's no global level control so you'll need to adjust each one individually. Not sure why they ship that way but seems to be the case with all multi effects boxes I've owned over the years.
Also, most of the preset patches use multiple effects by default. Lately I've been building new ones using only the effect I want as a starting point, essentially treating it like a single stomp box and then adding other tone shaping if I can't get what I want from the single effect. So far finding this has better results.
This is a great way to start building patches when you first get the zoom to get familiar with the controls. It's also a great way to build single effects period. This is how I do it as well. The amp models do great things to the effect patches.
Just added a M compressor to the Auto Wah & now its perfect !!! Try it in practice & see if I can gig it next week.
Have the Tuner thing set up... a bit of a delay to go from patches to tuner bypass but fine
In the patches it adds a thru often as an effect. I can delete it or leave it... does it matter or do anything to leave it?

EDIT: HOLY CRAP !!! How awesome is it to use your footswitch to go between the patches you made? Sweet... plus you can set up blank patches if holding the tuner bypass isn't possible. Cool

As for the bypass, if I understand correctly what you want to do, you can set up the line-selector first in your patches, so you can switch the effect on and off at will during the same song, without going through all your patches.

If I'm using the footswitch for the line-selector I can't switch between patches though. I'll have to bend down & move to the next effect by hand for a song right?
The thru is just the default setting in a new patch. I suppose empty is a better description. You don't have to anything with it. Will just go away when you start adding effects.
Btw the tuner had 2 modes. Default is mute when you step on it but you can also set it to go to bypass. I prefer mute when I'm tuning or just to have a mute switch and then add a bypass to the patch memory list that cycle thru with foot switch. Most of the stuff I'm playing now doesn't require a lot if effects so gigging I try and keep a short list of patches. Typically it's either on or off for the whole song. I don't have the need to switch middle of tune. In fact it usually sits on top of my amp , not on the floor, so I can see it better!
Thanks man, I have my tuner setup to bypass not mute. I have a rackmount tuner I use.
Its nice to have both options... use the bypass tuner OR footswitch between the patches. Either one will work for my applications at the current time. Sweet

Awesome pedal! I bought it to supplement the effects I didn't think I'd ever use, but crap this thing legitimately sounds good in just about every category. This has easily replaced two separate pedals on my board. (Multiwave bass distortion-ebs octabass)
I got one last week, and it's a keeper. For years I've wished I had a Korg PX5D in a stompbox. This is better! For bass, anyway.
I am sad that most of the bass amp models won't overdrive, they're just EQ and resonances. And after playing with the Ampeg model, which will, I can see why they didn't bother--it's not that great. But hey, otherwise the models sound good enough. For the solid state amps I guess it doesn't matter at all. I'm not sure I'd build a hardcore grinding signature tone out of this pedal, but it's good enough for just about anything else.
The tone controls don't attempt to model the amp tone controls (as I've come to expect from BOSS's COSM modeling), so they don't tweak the amp model tone in traditional ways. On the plus side, this means that the Bassman actually usable cut/boost tone controls. (I think the midrange band is too narrow, but it's workable.)
So, they're not really amp models as sort of "amp character filters" with eq and a speaker sim. Not quite what I expected, but not in any way a bad thing either. Together with some light compression it's totally playable.
It replaces every bass pedal I was taking to cover gigs. This is AWESOME. So much crap to move! And suddenly the minor shortcomings above seem really really nitpicky.
One thing I wish it had was a high-cut on the blend control. I wonder if I can use the splitter around the amp model or something...can't quite figure out how to use the splitter.

Probably to make them sound more impressive in the shop against the bypassed tone. Similar how in TV show rooms, they bump up the saturation and contrast to unnatural levels to make the image pop.
It does a good job of demonstrating how much headroom it has, though. (And I noticed it distorts fairly gracefully too.) I wonder if it has enough output to directly drive a power amp?
