Just curious, it looks like the B6 and B2 Four have pretty much the same effects (that I use at least) as the B3N I have. Do they sound better in some way? Or is it basically the same.

I currently own the B3n, and B1 Four and B6. The B6 is definitely the best sounding one, by a long shot. The dynamic range, the quality of tones (low, mids & highs) are excellent. It was noticeable straight away. I suppose that's due to the 88.1Khz sampling rate. Can't remember what the sample rate is on the B3n, but I'm pretty sure it's not what the B6 is using. This is also why I'm curious Zoom hasn't publish sample rate specs for the B2Four - I'd be interested in a B2Four for reheasals so I wouldn't have to drag my B6 around so much, but I also like to know what I'm getting into before I buy stuff. So until specs are released, I'm just left sitting here waiting & wondering.

I've never really used empty patches on any of my zoom multis. So my take on the sound quality is based on EQ, preamps, can sims, etc
I replaced my B3 with a B2 Four. The effects, even those with similar names, sound different to me. Not better or worse, but different. I don't think they just copied sounds from the B3 to the B2 Four.
I recently bought a zoom b1x four and I didn’t realize it till now but some of the patches buzz. Some of them are quite loud and others you have to be pretty quiet. I’m not sure how do quiet it down. Any ideas?
I think every patch has a "Volume" parameter which could be changed and stored. As for buzz, high gain usually will do it to you. If there's an empty slot in the patch, add noise gate in the end of the effects chain.
I have a Zoom A3 guitar pedal. My pedal has many different effects. What do yo mean by saying patches? My pedal has many locations for effects. I can choose up to 3 different effects per location. I would appreciate someone clarifying your terminology?
Zoom calls the stored "locations" (as you put it) patches...a lot of manufacturers call them "presets".

Also, if the treble and mids are too high, it tends to make them very noisy. At least in my experience this has been true. Compensate by lowering the volume a little. One good rule of thumb is keep the presets at a similar volume, and that you can play the drum loop at 70% volume and still hear it while you play

I'd start with -1 octaver and then some ampsim with high gain. Compressor might also be necessary.

you could add some filter for more phun I put the envelope filter after to give me some ability for touch playing, pluck harder to open the filter for snarl set

FWIW I created a whole sound by adding some 160 comp, Bass Detune, slap back delay and room verb using the B3N model on the GCE3 that I use in the studio. I just happen to be working on creating a sound scape for my neighbor's Spook Fest he does every year to get donations for the Food Bank. I will use this sound for one area.

Question on this...will this have a tail? I want an extremely short tail if at all.
Note cut off as soon as note is released unless you add delay or reverb. I find it very articulate as well for either a quick or sustained bass part. Most of my synth sounds are done this way for the Zoom, C4 or FI with the exception of drones, ambients or pads.
