Fender Japan serial numbers complete

At work, but these were already in my phone. Hopefully you can enhance the headstock photo- i can zoom in on my phone and see the number. But I swear that the number is printed very clearly: s/n B010133 nowhere on the neck is it printed Made in Japan or Crafted in Japan. I also have a pic of the signature.
I can see the serial numbers clearly but its really strange it doesn't have any Made in Japan stamp. Fender Japan ALWAYS put Made in Japan or Crafted in Japan. The serial number is also very strange. Fender Japan never use the "s/n" for serial number. They use the whole words "SERIAL NUMBER". Are you sure its Japanese? Perhaps Mexican (sorry but I'm not familiar with MIM).
One more thing, Bacchus Japan released a few exact copies of Marcus Miller Signature. There could be a slim chance the logo was replaced.

I've never heard of a MIM Marcus. But even my MIM jazz has Made in Mexico printed on the headstock. Serial does not jive either. I cant seem to find any info on a Bacchus copy. I guess it will remain a mystery. It's still a sweet bass. Thanks for the help!
Funny..I am looking at my Fender 75 Reissue Jazz Bass, Made In Japan, and it has s/n before the serial number. The bass pictured is a Japanese Fender,it's a Marcus Miller Bass.
I never thought s/n is also used since majority of Fender Japan instruments used the complete SERIAL NUMBER. I haven't come across to those models yet personally. The OP bass has no Made in Japan or Crafted in Japan stamp which is really really really strange as well as the serial number which starts with "B".
Can you post a photo of your '75 RI Jazz serial numbers? I am very interested to see the s/n stamp. Thank you.

I'm taking the thing apart this weekend to inspect it thoroughly. Where would the serial be on the body? Neck pocket? Should it be the same as the one on the neck?
Location of the serial numbers varies according to the model and year of manufacture. JV, SQ and A series had it stamped on the neck plate. E series had it either on the neck pocket or headstock. Majority of post JV, can be found on the neck pocket. Some have it on the headstock. But one thing that really amazes me is the serial number of your MM. It starts with B, which dates back in mid-80s if we follow the serialization pattern. This is a mystery.
Ok. Long story short. I did not actually have the bass in my hands when I started this. (Yeah, I had to put a 300$ bass on layaway.) I'm coming clean now, broadcasting my shame just to shed some light on this. still can't explain the serial, but here are some more pics. I did not inspect the thing as well as I thought.
So, how does my brand new re-issue Fender Jazz Special fit in? It is marked Made in Japan with an S serial number.
your " + 0 + 5 digits " is helpful. a lot of people were confused by the way fender has it listed because they thought 0 was one of the digits and they were trying to date their CIJs as MIJs.

Thats belongs to the few MADE IN JAPAN S serial. During the transition from Crafted in Japan to Made in Japan in 2008, SOME later S serial were already stamped with Made in Japan. So majority of earlier S were CIJ (like my '70 RI P-bass) while a few later S were now MIJ (like yours). However, some earlier T serial were still stamped as Crafted in Japan but now, all T serial are Made in Japan.
