I have my 500c on top of a 1x15. It's a match made in heaven. You just need a quarter inch speaker cable.

I read Linnen's post twice to figure out what he meant, lol.
What he's saying is on the lower output bass, up the gain to match the volume of the higher output bass.
So, turn up the gain, is the short answer.
Thanks. If I combine a 2x10 and 1x15 it won't blow my amp up?
My knowledge about amplifiers is pretty non-existent![]()
^^^ This is correct ^^^ Proper Gain Structure is critical.I read Linnen's post twice to figure out what he meant, lol.

Could your pickup(s) be angled too close to your E string?
You should up the gain to match the input signal of your hotter bass.

Not at all, the 500 head is designed to produce maximum power at 4 ohms, and both those cabinets are 8 ohm cabinets.....using both of them will be 4 ohms, and your amp will be in heaven!!What GaryLC says +1
Hi the Club ! So happy to be part of it, with my 200 combo. Thanks for this so usefull club

But I have one question : I can't manage to have a clean sound on my E-string... It always seems a bit overdriven, even with no overdrive on the Amp, and with any style (Bright , Vintage or Contour)...
Does any one have an idea what can cause that ?
Thanks !
YOU DON'T PUT CONTAINERS OF LIQUID ON TOP OF AN AMP+1 on using "speaker cables" not instrument cables.I have my 500c on top of a 1x15. It's a match made in heaven. You just need a quarter inch speaker cable.
^^^ This is very important ^^^+1 on using "speaker cables" not instrument cables.
Do they make waterproof/spillproof amps yet? If so I need one real bad-rat now!YOU DON'T PUT CONTAINERS OF LIQUID ON TOP OF AN AMP
No, but you can waterproof it yourself. Just open the amp up and fill it with uncooked rice. The rice will absorb any moister that gets in.Do they make waterproof/spillproof amps yet? If so I need one real bad-rat now!
I better not upload any gig pictures then....YOU DON'T PUT CONTAINERS OF LIQUID ON TOP OF AN AMP
I missed that part on the warranty of the rumbles(maybe that's why they're selling so good). No, but you can waterproof it yourself. Just open the amp up and fill it with uncooked rice. The rice will absorb any moister that gets in.
Oh please do! we want to see the smoke too.lolI better not upload any gig pictures then....![]()
This may sound stupid, but is there a difference? I'm a newbie to pairing amps..+1 on using "speaker cables" not instrument cables.
Well, the upside is, you may get to post another NAD! post.I better not upload any gig pictures then....![]()
I used to keep an adult beverage and also an ashtray complete with burning cigarette on top of my Bassman amps at all times. Sometimes candles & incense too.Oh please do! we want to see the smoke too.lol
