Beautiful flame on both specimens.
Thx. Had to look quite a while to find a flamed Tbird. The SG is my number one non bird player right now, so I thought it would be cool to have a matching bird.

I can't help but wonder how a light, transparent white would look with that gold hardware. I mean if you are going for bling, go Pimp Bling. I won't do it, but I think the white VP would look great with gold hardware. My main player in the 80s was a Pbass that was white and I put all gold HW on it. (What Elite's had...with the heavy bridge with micro tuners.) Later had a white Jazz and I put a mirror pick guard on it. People loved it. They were shallow like me no doubt.

I looked, and this is as close as I found with something like the maple you have.

A Mary Kaye finish would be interesting and would allow the grain to peak through a bit but I already have a White bass. I don’t have a blonde bird, so I think I’ll stay that route.

If you tire of that EB-3(I've always called them that. Don't care what Gibson/Epi calls them). It would look good in FL. Hell, it'd look good in West Left Pantleg, NE.

I've always thought that since the Fed gov spends (wastes) massive money on funding absolutely foolish studies ($1mill for zoo poetry) and programs that they ought to fund transcontinental pipelines to relieve flooding in these parts and pump water to needed parts. Expensive? Yep? So is drought and flooding. Divert funds from stupid things and put people to work doing those pipelines with various collection points and disbursement points. There are almost 200,000 miles of pipeline already so a little more would make zero difference.
Me, too.

Have we seen that one b4? I don't remember it. Then again, I don't remember a lotta[stuff].

I've had it for a little over a year now, Mike. It's a "Studio", so, set neck, modern bridge, sculpted body and very small headstock. The neck itself is quite similar to the new NR, I really like it a lot, a bit tighter and focused note than a neck thru Bird, the TB Plus pups sound great, especially when paired with SITs. They typically go for about 1300-1400, I got this one for 800 from a TBer.

So you paid him $800 to let you steal it?;) Nice.

LOL - I’ll remember that Mike. If you ever run across an “EB-3” SG Supreme on the block, just buy it, don’t ask the price, just buy it. These play and sound phenomenal, better than any EB I’ve touched. They only made the blonde one for one week in 2007 and the lava burst one for one week in 2007. That’s it, 400 copies of each, they never made any more. I bought mine a few years ago and it’s already doubled in price. I expect it to do the same in the next few years. The Lava burst is equally sweet…

Always fancied trying a T-bird Studio.
The sculpted body appeals to me

Might I suggest a slight edit:
It made me think,
It sure does stink.

Sure, I was just keeping the meter or at least the syllable count the same to maintain the same feel.

Now that vs one is done, if someone can come up with a pre-chorus and chorus we're done! See you all at the Grammy's! (I wouldn't actually go to any "lets tell ourselves how great we are" event, but do take pics. Just not with Mike's flip phone....)
