I have the Mustang PJ in sonic blue, but love it so much, I want to buy one in red.

I love my American Pro P, but it doesn't get as much attention as my Mustang PJ.

The new pj is perfect as is. The only thing I would change is a set of black tape wound LaBella strings for the sound and feel. I also have a new American Professional P bass, but that does not get as much play as the mustang pj.

Would you know where I can get a Canare GS-6 or GS-4 cable in Los Angeles? Can you suggest a durable cable, without the 1/4 jacks, which I can put together?

If the short scale bass gets you to play it more, than that is the one to play. You should play the instrument that inspires you to play more-sound, feel, and looks of the instrument.

The hard case costs more than the P or J cases. This is how Fender gets us, similar to how Apple manipulates their accessories for the sell. The positive is that both will fit the Mustang like a glove, and that is important. I am in love with the Mustang, and would like to take it out of the house.

What are your thoughts on the Fender hard case and gig bag for the Mustang? This bass should have come with one.
