Got Ripped Off By Someone in Canada; But This Story Has a Happy Ending

Its 2013. Who actually trades "straight up" through the mail? Pretty well documented scam...just saying. But, having said that, we all make mistakes and congrats on your win in international small claims court!

GK Dealer in the Philadelphia Area

The sam ash at franklin mills mall has gk if I remember, and a lot of other brands as well. And the gc in langhorne also has gk, but a lot less bass stuff in general. I'd give cintioli's music a call and see what they have. Always neat stuff there. Its at oxford circle and the boulevard. Good...

    Ampeg b2re

Yeah, not typical ampeg but I have found a nice sweet spot by diming the ultramid for more gain, then using graphic eq to tame the mids. And, oh yeah, gain to about 3 o clock. Boost the 80 and 120 hz for some kick! Not bad. Ymmv. But a gk 700 rb is very nice as well!

    Help with my Ampeg Br-2e

+1 to this. Also the mid knob has gain to it and is actually the first tone knob in the chain, after gain of course (wierd isn't it?) So crank it and use the eq to tame any harshness. Also try leaving the 40 slider at flat or lower, then boost the 80 about half way up, then boost 120 even more...

    Anyone else dislike Sansamp?

Ime, the bddi reacts the same with hot pickups. But I've been able to still get great tones with some tweaking.

Bass Amp with Emulated Line Out?

I haven't seen an amp head that has that emulated output like the marshalls. I imagine that it is just a cab simulator to avoid mic'ing. Now if you want a pre/power setup, sansamp rbi/rpms have the sansamp output, which is a cab simulator along with thier amp simulator.

    Sansamp BassDriver DI

I see. Well if the tech 21 rep here doesn't get you straightened out, maybe an exchange is in order, but they are usually very helpful and offer lots of great advice! Good luck! I'll be reading to see what the outcome may be. By the way, love both the vt and bddi. : )

    Sansamp BassDriver DI

While i've recently just started running the bddi into the front of my gk, as opposed to the efx return, I too noticed that the fan seems to run more with added warmth of the amp, but I have not had any overheating or shut downs with a 2.5-3 hour show. Did you buy the bddi used? Not that that...

Have you noticed high prices used gear on eBay?

Funny, I just started thinking about an old comp pedal I had sitting around, don't know where I got it, never worked, switch missing. Looked it up, wow a $200 "vintage" ibanez bp10! Mine has seen better days though! Lol! Its ok, neat with slap. So yeah Fees-bay glory days are behind us.

    Hartke 3500 Transient Attack

Yes indeed a very loud punchy amp! Seems to reproduce everything you put into it, including those sub lows. Don't go nuts with that 30hz slider! Enjoy your new-to-you rig!
