I have a Viola Bass, an I love it. Flat wound strings help a lot.

La Bella flats will help get that throw back tone. It works for me.

I run the guitar, bass, and e-drums through the P.A. for small size gigs. Powered mixer, yamaha and 2 carvin 12" on poles. Vocals too..........

I work with a A.I. Contra and a E.A. Wizzy 10". It works pretty good together, one helps the other for a good range of highs,mids, and lows...

Sometimes it's the person behind the board. Little experence with DB with subs. Been there and done that..........

If it's the real thing, get it as soon as you can. I sold mine many years ago, what a stupid move. 500 bucks is like stealing it...LOL.

+2 on that idea. I use it on my Azola Bug EUB.

The Pro Plat bass pre. is like the Swiss army knife of preamps. Not only it helps the sound to your amp, but it also gives a great sound at the mixing board too. I helps when you are playing through a loud P.A. with subs, and it has a lot of tweeking power that the EUB needs over a UB. It works...

I like the Fishman Pro Plat pre amp. Lots of tone shaping there.

E A wizzy 12" M Line works better for me than 2-10" wizzys. Better low end and more than enough power. I use it for DB and EBG gigs. One cab goes along way....

Standard tuning for me. I have a 5 string, so there is no need for drop tuning.

I like my A I Contra for a good grab and go combo. It's good for many things besides bass. And you can add an ext. speaker to the combo for even more volume.

I have a limited Hot Rod Corvett with hollow tone chambers in the body. 5 string low 8 lbs.
