Unfortunately disengage engines/voices, ie switching to 'clean - no distortion' engine, will lead to a pretty drastic change in tone. I would love if a firmware update could add a transparent clean engine, I think enough people would actually find it useful

Thank you, I'm not going nuts.... It would be really nice if there could be a second "clean" engine added via firmware that is as beautifully transparent as the buffered bypass tone.

@rsmith601 I use the pedal in buffered bypass mode, the difference between buffered bypass and when the pedal on using the "clean" engine is quite noticeable. It is very easy to test, I would really appreciate if your team could try to replicate the scenario and confirm the pedal works as...

The Aftershock doesn't support USB midi, but with the neuro hub you can. Great sounding pedal, lots of good sounds. One thing that has always bugged me is the 'clean - no distortion' engine is not flat eq wise. A simple test comparing the bypassed tone to the 'clean' engine show a very...

imagine being able to use midi to tell the aftershock to enable / disable an external effect that doesn't have midi. Would be a great feature if it left the signal flat/unaltered....

if you try and use a pedal in the aftershock's fx loop but without any distortion ie set to clean/no distortion, the signal sent out the fx send has a bass cut compared to the bypass tone. it may be more than just a bass cut but it certainly is not at all similar to the bypass sound.

I only have the aftershock to test with. would be great to find a way to get this working @rsmith601

Has anyone managed to get the fx loop working without needing to eq the signal to make it "flat/clean"? really bummed with the current setup... the fx send signal is not the same eq wise as what enters the pedal.

long shot of a question for Roger when using the trs cable from headphone jack of phone to the input 2 of a neuro compatible sa pedal, is the information being sent on the ring only or the tip AND ring? I'd like to have a non sa pedal in the loop of an aftershock, can I make a custom cable...

Checking out the signal path diagram reveals some tasty possibilities;) My only request is to be able to disengage the input compression and limiting on the envelope detection circuit. (Or perhaps give the option of a few compression/limiting settings) I notice there are sensitivity controls...

Bass Pedal (Taurus, Roland, MIDI, etc) Club?

Be on the lookout for any old organ being thrown out. With some simple soldering skills you can repurpose the foot pedals, they are usually sturdy with metal inards. There are many ways to accomplish midi control, use whatever works best for your needs. I took a cheap computer keyboard apart...

Source Audio Aftershock - what footswitch? midi footswitch?

Hey You can use a simple cheap switch to toggle between channel 1 and 2. Take a read of the aftershock manual for wiring instructions. From the manual- Channel Switching with an External Switch There are two distortion channels that can be stacked in parallel or series...

Calling @rsmith601 First off, big fan of your work. Really forward thinking and of course great sounding pedals. There's a function on the aftershock that im told is not working correctly. I'd inquired about a year ago though I think the ventris meant you guys had your hands full;) In the...

Thanks Nathan My aim is to be able to change patches via a midi controller (arduino with usb host shield) From Reading the manual it seems that I can send cc messages to change effect types but I want to recall a saved patch, whereas changing effect type will just change the distortion engine...
