I haven't tried the Manta but I've owned the BEF pro for 3 years and it's a really super complete unit.
It doesn't have the drive section of the Manta, and it has a bigger footprint, but it has a lot of complete features like 6 usable presets, eq section, tap tempo and you can edit a lot of parameters directly.
I wish SA would make a One Series Filter, considering the smaller footprint and the powerfull app that these pedals use.
Anyone know if it's possible to mount either an SA Hub or Hot Hand receiver under a pedaltrain nano/metro without modification?
With Velcro, yes - that's how I've usually done it on smaller Pedaltrains (pre-Metro). I'm not 100% certain about the height clearance for the Hub, but I think it will fit with the stock rubber feet on both the Nano and Metro models.
Ok, thanks. I have a hub incoming and will put it on my main board (PT Classic 2) but was just curious to know if it was possible on my nano too!
Okay SA, for 2018 let's see a Ventris/Nemesis treatment of all that is pitch shifting.

Yeah a SA octave pedal is surely way overdue?! My wallet has been waiting patiently for years!
If Source Audio made a full-fledged pitch shifter with shiftable harmony modes (a la Bass Whammy), my pedalboard would be 100% Source Audio.
The board is 75% of the way there already!
Since about 2012 or so, my board has been between 50% and 75% Source Audio. The Bass Whammy is the only consistent obstacle to total pedalboard domination.

And some octave engines modelled on analog heavyweights (OC2, Meatbox, POG etc) with deep tweakable parameters in the Neuro app. The question is - single housing (Aftershock sized) or dual housing (Nemesis sized)? Dual housing would allow for easy switching between two different octave engines live, or adding modulation with the second footswitch. Hmmmm...

Yep. An upgraded Manta. Though I'm not 100% how I would expand or improve upon the Manta...suggestions?
I actually really love the dual-footswitch form of the Soundblox2 pedals and miss that with my Aftershock tbh. Having sounds so easily switchable on the fly without any extra hardware is a huge plus for me.

A One Series Manta, Pitcher Shifter, and a One Series sized Midi sync capable Loop pedal sound like a busy 2018 that we'd all love
after all of these awesome pedals, I bet they throw us a loop and come out with an original polysynth. That'd be SICK.
After the reverb drops next up will almost certainly be 1series treatment of the Manta/Stingray and Multiwave Distortion. Could likely see 1series version of the Programmable EQ as well. An Octave/Pitch effect would be awesome but I doubt we we see that before 2019, perhaps a prototype in 2018 if such an effect is on the SA roadmap...
Why do you think it'll take so long? I'd like to hope an SA octave pedal has been in the works for a while...
I think you overestimate the number of people working on things.
I'd imagine the Nemesis & Ventris took an absurd amount of their time & energy to put out. I'm sure they have ideas on what one would look like, but I don't expect a new pedal from them until next Spring at the very earliest and I bet it'll be a filter pedal.
Something like the Source Audio Casimir (my name suggestion
) that has ridiculously controllable filters and as a carryover from the Manta, available pre-filter and/or post-filter drive. I bet the user presets would be nuts coming out of that, everything from Moog emulations to crazy synth sci fi effects.

The other thing that is taking a long time is our investment into the Source Audio Neuro Echosystem. The Hub was the first step, but it has led to the Hub Manager, the Neuro App for iOS, the Neuro App for Android, the Desktop Editor for the distortions and now Nemesis.....and this was done for both Windows and Mac. We are also working on Web Based resources for publishing and browsing Neuro presets. It is a crazy amount of work......and many of our competitors sell simple pedals at the same price that do only one simple thing.
Our plan is to finish Ventris and the software support for it. Then we move back to putting our key pedals into the One Series format.
