Source Audio Sorcerers Society (S.A.S.S) Part 3

Is this pedal overkill? Is anyone interested in such a thing?
I'll admit I haven't 100% followed the discussion, so could you clear this up for me (and apologies if it's a dumb question): when you say that in the deep Neuro editing you can access the all of its capabilities, does that mean all of them together, i.e., harmonizer AND filter AND synth at once?

If so, this will also be an insta-buy for me. If not, I'm going to have a little trouble picking between the two versions, because I probably only have one spot available as a Manta replacement.

Yes, each pedal has the exact same underlying program, and you can use the editor to access all of the blocks any way you want.

If all goes well, you might have 3 spots! :)

Needs to sound good first!

And it will for sure!
I've been saying for quite some time that I'd really like to get an Envelope Filter in the One Series format because I love my BEF Pro but I don't love the size of it.
And now you're saying that we'll be getting this and much more. It's a full synth pedal from Source Audio and it can be used as that or as a envelope filter or as an octave/harmonizer (and it will even have arpeggiator!!!).
I think this one will be a huge success because it will fill an empty spot in the market since there's no pedal out there that makes this. And with the capability of the Neuro app it will be a true killer.
Congratulations on Source Audio for just thinking about and projecting this pedal, and specially for listening to what the costumers have been saying because all those options have been sugested by a lot of folks here at TB and to see that you've considered all of them into this pedal (instead of claiming "it's too complicated so lets simplify") is really rewarding. You could've just adapted the Manta into the One Series format with some more options, but no. You didn't go for the easiest road and had the courage to take risks and make something new.
That's what makes a great company and will sustain your success in the future for sure.

Checking out the signal path diagram reveals some tasty possibilities;)

My only request is to be able to disengage the input compression and limiting on the envelope detection circuit. (Or perhaps give the option of a few compression/limiting settings)

I notice there are sensitivity controls in the diagram, (unlike previous source audio filters) perhaps this control will negate my request to disable the compression/limiting.

Thoughts?

Peace

@rsmith601

talking about pitch shifter: one of my goals is to add a high octave to the clean sound, that allow me to emulate an 8-string bass. The pitch shifter pedals I checked out in the past sounded thin and poor (and sometimes too much digital) with bass. I obtained the best results when using an old Lexicon MPX1 rack unit.
I hope the pitch shifter module in your next creature will sound thick enough to obtain a credible 8-string bass tone.

I mean, I’ll never sell my OC2. I’ve also bought and sold a Bass Whammy multiple times because of the octave up while looping and the other foot controllable harmony effects. I’ve looked at the 3Leaf Octabvre multiple times but could never justify it since I know I will always have an OC2 in my closet. I would have to get a bigger board to go back to a Bass Whammy, and even thought of modding one into a smaller enclosure to use with my expression instead of adding the room needed for the large expression enclosure. I’ve owned every filter you guys have put out, and settled on the Manta due to size, but miss the EQ and depth of the Pro.

Roger, you literally solved every one of those problems with one post. This has never happened in my entire musical career!

Just got me one used Lunar Phaser. I have high hopes for this pedal as I intend to use it as a modulation unit with phaser, chorus and flanger to replace each of the settings on the swith.

I want it. I really do. I would buy even just to try it but I'm so sure, with my current needs, it would be a keeper.

For those skipping the link just look at this and tell me you don't want to try this out.

PLEASE see this pedal through. Keep it under $300 and damn I would preorder it today.

Edit: Wow, Soundblox feels vintage at this point.

Oh Also: Would clean auto volume swells be posible? Such as the Rowin Slow Hand and Mooer Slow Engine based off of the old Boss effect?

Guy’s i have a question that if it has been already answered then apologies.
I just got a Lunar pedal, and love it for the Phasers. I also want to do Chorus. I tired the Gemini a while ago and loved the default Classic setting. I’d like to get this on the Lunar but there seems to be a lot of patches for both.
So I’m asking which patch should i choose in the Neuro app to get this.
Thanks.
