    How would define "bad music"?

That's better than anything in the top-40 To me.....bad Anything that's synth'ed and sequenced with some Autotuned singer caterwauling over the top of it.

The best sounding bass amplifier you ever owned or played?

Here's mine, a 1967 Sunn Sceptre (later Solaris) with the Dynaco transformer. I have the original 4x12 cab at home since it's too big to transport since it's the size of a small refrigerator, I'm playing the Sunn though a SWR Triad and it sounds thunderous. I'm looking for the missing logo...

SWR LA15 - Pros and Cons

Mine sounded great, for years was my go-to amp for small gigs like churches and coffeehouses. Then it met my Hofner '63 reissue 500/1 and they didn't like each other, we were playing a coffeehouse. I'm playing my ass off on the Hofner then I hear something that's not too good...

Clips of the legenday Sunn Sceptre (& my mediocre playing not worthy of my name)

Got a Sceptre too along with the matching 4x12 cab. I just got it back from the repair shop today, I'm rocking out tonight.

    Peavey T40

I'll take the T40 over a G&L Tribute L2000 anyday. I bought a L1000 back in the 80's it it was a nice playing and sounding bass then the neck started getting screwy developing a back bow that wouldn't come out. I took the bass back to the place where I bought it to fix the neck. They tried until...

How many amps do you guys own?

I use my old one in our practice space, it sounds incredible though the SWR Triad. I don't know the wattage but it's a bad mamma jamma.

BF fender showman VS Sunn 200S

    I don't know the model of Sunn cab I have, it's a 4x12 behemoth

BF fender showman VS Sunn 200S

I have a 1967 Sunn amp, a 60 watt Scepter loaded with Dynaco parts. That amp sounds so sweet, probably because the guts came from a high-end stereo. You should hear it though a SWR Triad cab, it sounds angelic.

    marlboro soundworks

My SWR 8004 T/O/P took a dump (and can't find anyone to fix it in Wilmington De.) and needed a amp to use. I checked around to see what I can use momentary until the big SWR amp is fixed. I spot my old Marlboro 1200R amp that hasn't been plugged in since the late 90's and took it to rehearsal. I...

1966 Fender P slab body belonging to John Entwistle @ Gruhn Guitars...

One of the things I read about this bass has the number around 20. Ace Kefford (of The Move) was also one of the owners of one of the slab basses. Like Entwistle, he smashed his bass after a bad LSD experience which brings the number of slabs down to 16.

    La Bella String Help

I have them on a bunch of my basses, this is the set I use. You may have to change raise your action if you have yours set low so the strings don't clank, I found out the more you play them, the better they sound. I have a set on my old Danelectro that's 12 years old and they still sound great...

What kind of strings do you use?

DR "blues" strings on my P-Bass, homemade P/J, homemade J-Bass, and 63 Thunderbird reissue. The "McDonalds" bass (it's red and yellow) has DR yellow Neon strings, my black Schecter "Ultrabass has DR black strings and SX 6-string has DR multi color strings. My German Hofner 500/1, Guild Starfire...

    Jack Casady (encore)

I tried one out and the neck seemed odd for some reason, I bought a Starfire II and been a happy camper since. My big wish is that Guild made them in sunburst like Jack's original SFII.

What Kind of Bass Guitar do you Play (Re-loaded)? BE SURE TO REVOTE!

I play a Guild Starfire II bass that plays great and sounds amazing.
