They use Palmer DI/Speaker Load boxes. The last rig rundown I saw showed Alex's heads going onto these devices. Ged uses a combination of preamps, and last time I looked, also some Orange heads that also go into Palmer's. I think this is what I saw in their racks: Invalid Link Removed...

Not quite a zombie thread, but why start a new one... I happened to acquire "Dusty in Memphis" recently and was completely floored by the bass playing, which lead me to Wiki, which lead me here. Those tracks just groove. Amazing playing. Brian

Great call, and if I may be so bold, go for the version on Get Your Ya Ya's Out.....IMHO, pretty much every track on that LP is the definitive version. A bud and I recently did a cover of Jumpin' Jack Flash, and it was a gas, gas, gas. :-) Brian

+1. I played it on a system with a sub that will do 30 hertz, and there was some low end going on that is missing from S&A. I don't know if it was a Ric or not, but the tone seemed different (in a good way ) to what I have been hearing of late. Brian
