i think part of it was when we started dating i stopped hanging out with my friends as often as i was. (i wasnt missing practice or anything like that. we were practicing six days a week!) and i think they took that as me loosing interest in the band.

my girlfriend and i just broke up pretty bad. unfortunately she was the sister of my guitarist and cousin of my drummer and singer. so i got kicked out of the band. they were also my only friends. so i lost my girl, my friends, and my band all in four days time. i was wondering were i shoud go...

i was thinking it was something like that. the ad called it a thumb rest so i figured i would ask here.

ok im going to ask a stupid question. whats the point of the thumb rest on the right side of the strings? shouldnt it be on the side where my hand is when i play?

i still have my first bass. A squire p-bass. It's heavy, hard to play, sounds lifeless, and i will never get rid of it. First of all I probably couldn't get much $$ for it, that and I think it looks pretty cool hangin' on my wall. It's like an old trophy you got in elementary school, not worth...

i currently own and gig with the B1Re and 4x10 cab. i love it, never have any problems. Allways loud enough, actually im allways told im too loud. and i play with 2 guitarists one on a marshall jcm900 and the other on a b52 at-100.

I use ernie ball regular slinkies. round wounds are ok too if you like their sound, just a little too soft for me. And i hate half rounds i mean really, what a terrible idea, they feel like razorblades under my fingers. i do play real hard so that might be a factor but still.

i voted soap+soap, but i still love my active jazz j+j quarterpounders.

you might even try only changing the bridge pickup and switching between the neck and bridge when you want to change sounds.
