The coolest, at least my opinion, was a FNH SCAR 17. Another one was my nephews FNH FNS 9 in Navy Digital.

I carefully blasted them with garnet sand. I use that over aluminum oxide. Cheaper. I am a certified Cerakote applicator so I coated them myself. I hear what you are saying over chrome if it is not prepped properly. Jim

They are Gibson TBird pickups with metal covers I got from Wolfkeller. I ended up ceramic coating the covers black. I hope it doesn't effect the pick up output though.

Yes. It's hard to get a good pic of something mirrored.

I ordered two pick guards from Larry for my TBirds. They turned out awesome. Here they are installed/partially installed. Now I can finish up the Epi and put the new pickups in. Thanks again Larry! Jim

Congrats! It's nice to hear that they took care of you. You followed their warranty policy down to a tee and did not get snippy with the correspondence and they took care of it. Just lucky the finish did this before the warranty was up. I bought a Ruby Red 4003 in 2013 and it is still flawless...
