Not necessarily...

I would suggest you wait throwing a lot of cash at that bridge until you tried the original one. The original 3-point may take a little while to get used to, but works perfectly once you get the hang of it.

If you then decide you don't like it, or it won't give you the adjustability you like - You could always mod the bass with either the Babicz or the Hipshot Supertone bridge...

Some group members like those two bridges, and then others prefer the original 3-point (incl. our Queen and myself)....
Thanks Bud, When I was reading about the "Classic Pro IV" on the Epi website, it seemed like they offered better hardware and Pu's than on the "Pro IV" which means other than stringing a lefty for a righty there will be few upgrades/mods that I will have to make to get her up to par compared what is being done with my Pro IV 5er although in the Pro IV's defense I noticed they use a "BadAss" bridge as OEM which I was surprised about considering Leo Quan kinda fell of the face of the Earth. I should know today IF Gibbo or Epi is going to play nice in regards to accomodating a lefty order or not, Keep you posted...

The Pro IV has a very different bridge from the usual 3-point bridge. I don't know if it's better or worse, but it's different. I guess it's a BadAss, but I'm not sure. It works. So does a 3-point. So does a Babicz. I'm pretty sure Hipshots work well, too.

I sure hope you can get a lefty 'Bird.

Count me in as a 3-point fan. Both of my TBirds have a 3-point, my Epi EB3 has a similar setup with the 3-point bridge and narrow nut.

Not at all my man, got inlaws in Cresthill and Bada Brew is one of our favorite haunts, We played there Halloween weekend 2015 Would like to play there again soon!! I'm in a band called "SuperColliders" check us out, hope you guys like it, Cheers:

SUPERCOLLIDERS
Thats right down the street! I am diagonaly across st Joes Park from BadaBrew. :) and Marishka's is at the end if my street. Give me a shout next time you fuys play and I will see if It fits my schedule.

I was gonna get a bridge, but after I put on the Pressurewounds, it intonated easily... No need to mess with it now. Those babes will be on there for years!! Well. I'm gonna negotiate with GC and see if I can swap mine for a 1.5" nut version(including swapping strings) without expending any $. I do have a Spider Jam that I could return. It is too complicated for this old man. I should kept the THR.

One great advice: Don't believe any of what they write on the Epiphone website - Their specs are so full of mistakes, that it borders to untrustworthy...

The Pro-IV and Pro-V does NOT have BadAss bridges on them.. They are some kinda OEM hi-mass bridges, very similar to Hipshot A style bridges.,

Hey, GC did me good! I first went to Sherman Oaks GC to see the T-Bird IV they had. The one in Northridge is much better! So, I went back to NR, returned my Spider Jam, traded them the 08 bird, and now I have a 15 bird with 1.5" nut!!!!! And came home with some cash....The rosewood on the 08 is better, but hey....they even let me swap strings so I can keep the new Pressurewounds I put on a few days ago

I will endeavor to learn how to do Spider Jam type stuff with computers?tablets/phones... Ableton Live videos, here I come!

Good to know, so the consensus is the bridges on the V & IV are good to go, Thanks Guys!!!

I called Epiphone today to ask about the ever changing specs. He just rattled off the line that says specs are subject to change. He pretty much had the attitude of "whatever, dood".
I get that specs can change, but to use it as an excuse to NOT keep records is...

PS - Sticker Dilemma, which ones to remove.

That pretty much sums it up...

However there is something you should be aware of in regards to the Pro-V:

The bridge has problems loading thicker B strings than the stock strings, which I believe are .125 - Thicker strings have problems fitting the ball end into the bridge slot.

I ordered two pick guards from Larry for my TBirds. They turned out awesome. Here they are installed/partially installed. Now I can finish up the Epi and put the new pickups in. Thanks again Larry!

As always great work from Larry!

Is that a mirror guard on the 50th?
