Good afternoon, guys. I scored a nice used NG3, yesterday and have a quick question while it’s in transit. Anybody out there have a Hipshot extender (for drop A) on their bass with smoked chrome hardware? Looks like they don’t make them in that color, so just wanted to see what others have done.

Thanks, guys. I think it will be a Combustion, but an NG is not out of the question. I would assume those would be different due to the electronics, but if it comes down to a couple of Combustion models, just wasn’t sure how stark the difference between the maple/PF would actually be in the end...

I use nylons on a Breedlove acoustic bass and a fretless MTD. Both have dtuners and I’ve never had an issue.

Agreed. I’m in a rock band, but I also play in a country band and a blues band. It sounds great in a 3 of those settings and I get a lot of compliments on my sound.

I have an old Fender Squire Katana from the early 80’s. My buddy calls it Shazam, say it looks like a lightning bolt. Looks dated, but kinda cool. If you take your hands of it, it nods off immediately.
