Good morning, guys
Quick question for you all.
I am about to purchase a new combustion or possibly an NG. How big of a difference is the maple fb vs the pau ferro?
Just to give you some background, AB ll owner since ‘07. Walnut with wenge FB. I play finger style in a few bands, ranging from country to blues to classic rock. Thanks in advanced for you input as I will not be able to test drive prior to purchasing.
Do you have a chance to try both? Thanks, guys. I think it will be a Combustion, but an NG is not out of the question. I would assume those would be different due to the electronics, but if it comes down to a couple of Combustion models, just wasn’t sure how stark the difference between the maple/PF would actually be in the end. And I guess there are other things that affect the sound between your amp EQ and pedals in the signal chain. Maybe I’m over thinking the fingerboard.
Hej
I have a dingwall combustion ng5 and having a problem with setting pickup height
I was following this video from dingwall. But it is not possible to take pickups as low as he says, some people seem to have the same issue. Did you guys came up against it as well?

If you have the means to pick it up, go for it. If you don't like it, you won't take a hit on re-selling it right now.Hello Club. I need your advice. Can anyone talk me out of buying ABZ 5 string? Lol. Seriously, I like the idea of lightweight swamp ash body and passive circuit. Are there any trade offs in tone department? I appreciate your replies! Thanks
My issue is that reselling might be problematic cause I’m across the pond, Moscow. Another blocker is that I already have D-Roc 5 standard on order, but wait kills me and this ABZ is available now.If you have the means to pick it up, go for it. Globally you shouldn’t have an issue selling it. If you like the price and it’s available and you want it, go for it!My issue is that reselling might be problematic cause I’m across the pond, Moscow.
