    for a long time it was referred to as the fender bass, if I recall correctly. When it comes down to it there is no technically correct term for the instrument designed to be a sort of cross between double bass and guitar, either its an electric bass, or a bass guitar.

    Smoothest/Fastest playing passive jazz you've played

    I just picked up a japanese 62ri which has a really nice easy to play neck, if you can find one second hand they're well worth it, much cheaper than an american as well.

    aye it looks very similar to the first wal, which had a mustang pickup and a leather tooled scratchplate, but the headstock is definitley a hayman.
