My Squier CV 50's p-bass is 10.4lb. Tips on making it easier on the shoulder?

That happens to me. The heavy attack and pushing the pre-gain or speakers too far can distort your sound. It happens to me all the time when I'm playing the Single Coil Precision with a pick; most speakers can't handle the spikes.

You can listen to the Single Coil PB quarter Pounder (Seymour Duncan) here You COULD add it to your Jazz, but you'd need to probably modify the body a bit and definitely get a custom pickguard or patch the one you currently have. Regaring wiring I wouldn't know for certain, to be honest.

I have a BSB Precision and IMO the neck is a bit thicker in the LPB's. They both have one piece maple necks but the BSB's have a vintage tint that the other doesn't. The necks are pretty solid and they resonate nicely although the tuners could be upgraded. They're not bad per se, but you can go...

That's a beautiful body grain! :eek: What wood is that? Hadn't noticed the lipstick pickup, I've never heard one before (I know Danelectro uses it), do you have sound clips?
