Poll: are you familiar with Serge Gainsbourg?

Tom T. who ? The Rolling Stone Top 100 may be biased towards English-language songwriters. There may be excellent writers using the remaining languages of the world (like some 80% of the global population)

maybe we should get in touch with them, and suggest they apply for membership of this club ?

    Marcus Miller

I think his playing on Fat Time is brilliant (from The Man With The Horn): and this one with one of our more popular Belgian singers:

    Drummers who became bassists

I played drums from age 12 till 30 (then life happened) but noodled on bass guitars whenever possible. Took up drums again about six years ago, and two years later acquired a bass. Playing infrequently both instruments but enjoying it. Can I have a number ?

    Best live album?

Herman Brood & His Wild Romance High-speed rock'n'roll from Holland. They were quite popular in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium during the early eighties. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_lHKApt8FVJeIW1XKTVJjmu52qx5eTPNxM

Where can I find Bass scores? -NO TABS-

Actually there’s another possibility: open source software MuseScore allows you to enter a bass line written in tab, and convert it automatically into notation.

Double Bass Bass improvisation by Ed Friedland

you could use free software such as MuseScore to enter the melody and the chords - instant audio and you even have the tools if you want to change the pitch (= transposition) or the tempo. You can also export your music into an mp3 file.
