The Old Man is pretty good. Nice to see a show about women wielding power in a deeply patriarchal society. History is full of that. Too bad the lithium seems to be China bound IRL. Some of the violence seems a bit John Wick. Like somebody secretly knows they're getting too old for action roles...

Can't remember a Ken Burns series I didn't enjoy. And I've seen a few back in the tape operator days. People have complained he puts some spin in with his facts. I think he does a good job of presenting a wide range of opinions. Excellent use of the long format

Semi serious, here. You might be able to stop it falling apart if you don't try to keep it all together. If someone ain't happy let them go and replace them, sooner rather than later. If you wait till everyone loses interest, you're back to square one when they all leave together.

I'm one. No problem with using a compressor. Maybe the most versatile box you can have and a heap of fun besides. But if you need one to control your dynamics, you'd probably be doing yourself a favour to spend time in the bedroom without one.

Used to use a dual band Trace Elliott for slap. It was great for bringing the notes out from behind the clank. And fingerstyle, with no rogue highs to fix, it just disappeared. Must've been good coz nowadays everybody makes one. But quieter.

Post production and CGI come to mind. It's possible that some of them are production houses in their own right that are given a part to play for the skills of one of their employees. A highly respected set designer or sound FX engineer, for instance.

That's a very fortuitous random crackle, I have to say.

Expect those studios used to do everything in house. Now there's more independent production companies probably got people under contract. And the price for using them is some logo time I guess.
