Out of interest why are you thinking of buying the full blown package? I have Logic Express 7 and am planning an upgrade to v8 - not sure whether to go Express or Studio though. Are there specific features you're looking for that aren't in LE8?

You could try the Flight Case from Phil Jones Bass. It's small, ridiculously light and should work well in an acoustic setting. [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] Check this review - there's some acoustic at the end. Only downside is the price.

Aren't these $450 brand new? How much is the Tuki cover worth?

I was actually more impressed with the Flight Case. It's bigger but much lighter, a lot quieter (the Briefcase is quite hissy at louder volumes) and has a much fuller sound. Of course it's also much more expensive - at that kind of price the small Markbass combos start to become contenders.

I saw these over the weekend in the NYC store. Hadn't heard of the brand before but after doing some research I'm going back for a listen. An amp that size would be very welcome in my tiny apartment.
