The stock pickup is passive, so yes. The only problem might be the pickup actually clipping the preamp because that QP is mighty hot, but with 18v it should be fine.

Looking at the specs the MM, TB and HZ are all identical, so they're just the same pickup in different shells. Purely asthetic.

Much better, and like that finish. I normally don't go for the jaguar type bass, but this is really well balanced to the eye.
