    I would say as a schecter owner go for a schecter sometimes GC runs some pretty good sales on them....sometimes you can pick up a used one wicked cheap! Hope that helps.

    You must have gone on a different day than I did....The guys at that store ignore you if they think you cant play, then the second they hear you play they swarm you and wont leave you alone. Also they are really pushy on equipment they have overstock on. Here look at this Behringer...

    You could always start with a Squire if he is a beginner, or if he is a more advanced player ask him what he likes, or if you are going to surprise him, it would be cool just to take him to the guitar shop or pawn shop and let him pick something in your price range that he likes.

    Question for Peavey 3620 owners

    What are the full specs on this cab?, I found one for 100 bucks but I have no idea what the power handling is on this beast. Would it handle 475w at 4 ohms? how about 700w at 2 ohms? The guy selling it can't tell me much about it, since it is in an estate sale. any thoughts?:confused:
