upcoming gigs: Verus Music Festival June 14th at Curtain Club Deep Ellum 8:30pm, Festival de La Paz June 21st St. Jo (an hour north of Dallas)
regular gig: Across the Street Bar off Greenville, setting up some frequent Liquid Lounge dates for the summer
--anyone know anything about the Festival de La Paz? would love to hear any insight/experiences with this one as it's new to us
gear: Warmoth parts Jazz basses, Ampeg SVTII, 810, Thunderfunk 420, expecting delivery of a pair of Accugroove Tri112Ls anytime now
sound: The Hot Hello is a progressive/experimental rock outfit that i joined a couple of months ago...influences vary with members, ranging from Radiohead, Muse, to The Starting Line to Kyuss, etc...(our drummer and i dig a lot of funk)

As of now, no band currently, jamming occasionally with friends, but its more of a hobby thing now.

Currently playing a G&L SB1 and an Ibanez AEB10 through a Ashdown RPM pre paired with a Carvin power amp into either my monster Fitzmaurice design Titan 48 or my Avatar 212.
The Jakeys are currently recording and plan on playing out quit a bit this fall. So look for us at an Irish pub near you.

well when i origianlly started this thread it was solely to net work. I was curious how many other TBers were in my area. Well the farthest I've ever seen a discussion of a Texas GTG was some ideas Mjolnir and I had, but we wouldn't be able to pull off. We have hung out and did some drinking though!
Any of you Houston guys work at Great Sourthern Music on 6 and West Little York? I was in there today and one of the tech was jamming, nice thumb work by the way. I am going to bring one of my basses in for a set up soon.
