Is a Squier Bass Really That Bad?

I play a Squier P Bass. Since I'm left handed I was glad I could find a passive bass at an affordable price point ($250US). I didn't know if i was going to stick with playing bass when I started so I was glad I didn't pay a lot. Yeah it's not perfect, I'm going to have to tweak the action on...

    The Acoustic Club

I got my amp today!:D I thought I'd post a few pics of it. It's missing a few knobs and a lever in the EQ section like I said earlier but, it seems to work. It will need a little TLC for sure.

I assume your talking about the Acoustic B115? That particular 210 cab I had linked to was wired for 4 ohms but I found this 210 that is wired for 8 ohms but I don't think it has the horn or volume control on it. http://www.seismicaudiospeakers.com/2x10-Bass-Speaker-Cabinet-p/sa-210.htm...

    The Acoustic Club

Hey All, I am trying to decide what cab(s) to pair my Acoustic 370 head up with I've found these two which I think are very affordable vs competition, and even building something myself. This one is rated at 8 ohms...

    The cure for G.A.S.

I used to be happy as a clam with my "lefty" Squier P-bass and Tascam bass trainer, till I started hanging out on TB and now I've got myself a vintage Acoustic amp head and trying to decide if I should get a 410 or 210 cab (for now) to go with it. Sad, just sad.

    The Lefty Union... Revived!

I played "lefty" all my life, used to play a 1968 (maybe a reissue) left hand Fender Strat. I got a 2008 Squier P-bass in Febuary. Can I join your club please!

    The Acoustic Club

Hey all, I just won an auction on Ebay for a vintage Acoustic 370 amp head.:D The preamp/power amp section works and has all it's knobs, however the EQ section is missing three slider knobs and the lever on the 100hz selector is missing. I might have a source on a 370 that is not working but...

    Mark Hoppus Tones.

Ok I know no one is probably looking at this thread anymore but, I remember reading this interview a while back and though it would help. Mark talks about his bass rig he used during the Take Off Your Pants and Jacket era. Invalid Link Removed

Help me choose a relatively cheap compression pedal

I looked this one recently Behringer BLE100, it's similar to the Boss LMB-3 pedal, but way less money, however it's got a plastic body instead of a metal one. The Behringer is about $30 or so I think.

New Tascam Bass Trainer MP-BT1 (MP3)

I had a problem the other day with my MP BT1, I turned it on the other day a discovered that the LCD has two dead lines of pixels on it,:( the problem is near the bottom of the screen. I wonder if anybody else has had this problem, and does anybody think that would be covered by the warranty?

    Best practice amp for ~$150

You talking about the BA 115? I was thinking about this one...100W 15" speaker, CD input, XLR out etc. $380 from most online dealers with $80 rebate from Ampeg till March 31st 2009. Not to bad if you ask me.

New Tascam Bass Trainer MP-BT1 (MP3)

Heres another thought, just burn an audio CD of your protected iTunes songs, then re-rip that CD back into iTunes as MP3's. Another plus with this somewhat time consuming method is that you have a backup of your purchased music should your hard drive ever fail. My 2 cents!

So, I'm a little pissed (Quitting the band that I put together)

I second that, if any of you have ever seen The Red Hot Chili Peppers VH1 "Behind The Music" special. Where Anthony talks about how he, Flea, and Chad Smith helped John Frusciante though his addiction to heroin, because they didn't want John to end up dead like their former guitar player Hillel...

    Lefty Bass FAQ

I recently purchased a Squier "Lefty" P-Bass, I found I couldn't play my dad's right hand Jazz Bass (Of course neither can he, he's a lefty too.) My only regret I guess about having to play "lefty" is the lack of selection when it comes to upgrading instruments. Long live southpaws!
