Some rooms just sound like crap. You can try stuff like the above suggestions and you might get some improvement, but it will probably still sound crappy. On the brite side, when you go out to gig it will sound awesome to you.

800RB ...and if you have an 8 ohm 2 X 10 to try, throw it up there too and see how you like it. An 800RB with a good 2 X 15 is plenty bass amp on it's own tho.

For what it's worth, the 100 watt amp in the 800RB can run full range or crossover. I used a 2 X 15 and a 2 X 10 with an 800RB for a while. It was a great rig to play through. Ultimately, I can't say that it was really any better than the 800RB with the 8 x 10 tho.
