    Help with my Hartke LH500

Could there possibly be a wiring issue in your bass? Maybe a bad pot or input jack needing attention?

    Recommend a multi effects?

The Zoom B3 is a nice one. Lots of options, and pretty easy to dial in.

    Hartke LH1000 sound problem

Have you tried troubleshooting the problem by plugging straight into the amp? It could be an issue with the effects return on the back, or even possibly something to do with the sonic maximizer. Either way, if it's under warranty, the retailer you got it from should take care of replacing it...

    35" Scale on a budget

Thanks for the suggestions! I'm wanting to keep around a $500 budget, but I will definitely research several of the basses listed above.

    35" Scale on a budget

Hey all, I'm looking for suggestions on a 35" scale 5-string bass that fits a small budget. Electronics, pickups and such are no issue since they can be upgraded later. I need something in a pinch that can be used for low-tuned heavy music, but I'd rather not deal with the "floppiness" of the...

    EMG-TBP & J for T-bird replacements

I threw a set of TBP actives in my Dean Demonator 4. These pickups are pricey, but after I heard the tonal difference, I could see why. Very balanced and responsive. It also cuts through the mix a lot better without being overbearing. Throw in an 18-volt mod and your bass will sound like a...

    Comfort Strapp

Great strap for the money. Got 'em on all six of my heavy Dean basses to take some stress off my shoulder. At one point, I actually managed to tear one (which isn't easy to do, so I figured it must've been a factory issue). I contacted the company about what had happened, sent the strap back...

Anyone using/try Dean Markley Bass Helix Strings?

I had all my Dean basses set up with the Nikki Sixx signature set before recording my group's CD. I love them! The sound cuts through very well, even performing live. I haven't tried the "regular" Helix strings yet, but I would think that they're similar. They definitely keep that "new" tone...

    Dean Demonator Chaos 4

Got one a few months back. They are killer sounding. Slightly different tonality than the regular Demonator 4's, but it's a great instrument for heavier rock stuff.

    SX Spector/Warwick Copy

I stumbled across a Youtube video of one of these SX basses in action. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dfTy6otnl20 The video description noted that it went for 200 Euros at one time, which equaled up to around 262 US dollars. :bassist: Needless to say...Instant GAS attack. Anyone lucky...
