Could there possibly be a wiring issue in your bass? Maybe a bad pot or input jack needing attention?

The Zoom B3 is a nice one. Lots of options, and pretty easy to dial in.

Have you tried troubleshooting the problem by plugging straight into the amp? It could be an issue with the effects return on the back, or even possibly something to do with the sonic maximizer. Either way, if it's under warranty, the retailer you got it from should take care of replacing it...

I had all my Dean basses set up with the Nikki Sixx signature set before recording my group's CD. I love them! The sound cuts through very well, even performing live. I haven't tried the "regular" Helix strings yet, but I would think that they're similar. They definitely keep that "new" tone...

Got one a few months back. They are killer sounding. Slightly different tonality than the regular Demonator 4's, but it's a great instrument for heavier rock stuff.
