My JT5 Stealth's neck feels slimmer than my former NG3. And the finish "barely there" thing applies here as well.

Do you have copper foil shielding in your bass? I ask because I went through a similar phantom battery drain years ago - then realized it was fine before the bass was shielded with copper foil. Turns out the copper foil was touching the jack in just the right way to keep the battery always...

I use two pices of string looped under the knobs - one of each side of the pot's shaft. Carefully but firmly/evenly pull up on the strings while holding the body firmly with your other hand. Almost no risk of body damage.

The Meguiar's spray works great for cleaning - a bottle lasts forever, and the added bonus is IMO it smells fantastic ;) J

Adding the "reach reducing" inset straplock on the back of ny NG made a noticebale difference - if you are fairly handy, this is an easy install (I did mine msyelf). In fact, I find my NG and easier reach overall now than any standard 34" scale parallel fret bass, as the positioing of the NG...

I bought all my Mesa gear 8 years ago (2 115 cabs, D800 head) without trying any of it first, solely based on feedback here - a big part of that was the sense of great warranty supoport/service quality. No regrets, and no need to ever engage support/service in the last 8 years :) J

Steve's beloved ABZ was the first Dingwall I ever played. Besides being a huge Dingwall advocate, more importantly he was a great human being. It was a priviledge to have known him/spent time with him. I will miss him. J

Yup - all the V4 Combustions were like that. But you likely also noticed additional routing to accomdoate moving the neck pickup towards the neck - was done to get more of a J-Bass vibe. THEN I made it a 3x for a while..... did a lot of mods/experimenting with it :)
