The thing I find worse is going to dinner and the restaurant/bar has live music so loud you can't hear yourself think. It has happened more than once. I bought some Eargasm Earplugs. They reduce the volumn but don't muffle the sound. Pretty cool. Eargasm High Fidelity EarplugsEarplugs

I have an app on my iPhone called Music Trainer. It's pretty cool. It will slow down the song you are playing, but it doesn't change the tone of the music. It's pretty cool. I've used it quite a bit to learn songs.

I have an SR300 and love it. Red with a maple Neck. I've been complimented about it's sound and looks by a couple bass guitar instructors.

I know very little about vintage P-basses, but unless that belonged to someone semi-famous, I think he's nuts.

Tom Petersson of Cheap Trick played one like that in the video for "Don't Be Cruel". Don't think it was a PBass, though.

I have a Black and Decker FireStorm (I think. Whatever. It's red) 18v. It's real nice. Two batteries with chargers. The booklet says the batteries can be left on the charger, without harming them. I like it better than the Makita it replaced.
