Nothing to add here but I have become absolutely enamored with Gary's playing on "For Heaven's Sake" on Bill Evans Trio 64. The entire recording is fantastic but something about that song and what he plays just knocks me out. I can't count the number of times I played it. As shared here already...

I just watched a video performance of Willie Jones III and David Williams was on bass. He still sounds incredible. I had not heard of him prior to now but after hearing a few tunes I had to find out more about him. Thankful for that link to the article.

This is helpful. I will usually have about an 1.5" through the peg hole but looks like I don't have to do that.

Sort of a newbie question but when I install Perpetual strings on my bass, I always have problems with the string end always slipping in the roller when I first start turning it. I'm guessing it is because they are so flexible? I don't have that problem installing other Pirastro strings. Any...

Extremely helpful. Thanks @bassfiddlesteve and @Dan Robbins. You both mentioned Acoustic Image and that was a consideration as well but I am leaning heavily towards this as my main DB amp. For the gigs that I'll be playing it sounds like it could work perfectly.

Hi Steve, Reviving this old thread. :-) I'm thinking about picking up the new model of this amp. Your review has been really helpful as there isn't much information on it online with regards to double bass. I'm really interested in the antifeedback control. Do you find that feature useful?
