    pedal preamp for geddy tone

I got a VT Bass DI and when I set it per the manual to sound like an SVT (more or less grind depending on mood) and then I set the blend to 50/50 I feel it gets me into Geddy territory (playing with my Amer. Stan. J-Bass). I like the VT Bass DI quite a bit, it has a lot of functionality in a...

    Andy Metcalfe

I agree. If you listen to the LP Element of Light, for example, his sound, phrasing and overall uniqueness are fantastic.

    Good Long-Lasting Cable

I have both mogami and lava, I like the Mogami. Had it for about 5 years and then it started to break down, took it back to guitar center and they gave me a new one. The exchange was no problem and I'm happy.

Hi nostatic, Those are great pics. It's great to see someone that owns something that gives them so much joy. Those basses are obviously in the right hands. Thanks for all the educational posts in this thread.

Fender 60th Anniversary Precision vs. Fender American Standard

Mine is Mid 8 lbs range. I believe Sweetwater shows the weight of each bass they have in their bass gallery.

    Fender 60th Anniversary Precision Bass

After trying an American Standard, a 62 re-issue and a 60th Anniversary, I liked the 60th the best. All 3 were good basses but the overall look (a little different but classy), deep sound, updated features, finish and weight sold me on the 60th so that's what I bought. After 3 months of...

    Scared of M9

Yes, I've had similar thoughts to the OP. I have had great results with their guitar amps (big Mesa guitar amp fan). I also have concerns with the way the master volume reportedly works (a nudge sends it from loud to earthquake). I asked in the mega Carbine 6 thread why would Mesa make the...

Mesa M6 Carbine Mega Thread part 3:

For those who have contacts at Mesa, I have a question. I have read many posts on the extreme sensitivity of the master volume on the Carbine 6 & 9 (haven't read about the 3), some have learned to live with it while others can't. Has anyone asked Mesa why they made them this way, why don't...

    Mesa Boogie Walkabout Part 6

I've been thinking of picking up a Walkabout. With 300 watts into the right efficient set of cabinets could the Walkabout be enough for a rock band in club where the guitar player is using something like an over driven Marshall Blusesbreaker or does it just hang with a jazz drummer type of thing?

    Fender 60th Anniversary Precision Bass

I had a chance to play the 60th, 62 and American Standard. The 60th that I played fell between the 62 and American Standard. The American was a little tighter, more agressive, more clank, the 60th was rounder and fuller but still had good note definition, the 62 sounded rounder and fuller...
