And in turn, thanks GR for affirming (or pre-affirming) my choice of the M6 to replace the LMII which was my main rig for about 2.5 years. I sold my LMII/Epifani UL2-210 rig and bought a Berg AE410 from here last week. Just waiting for an M6 which I paid for tonight. Can I ask what bass you're playing through your rig?

Cannot wait to hear what this M6 sounds like through the Berg AE410 (with either my Will Lee or a Lakland Duck Dunn).

I currently use a Peavey Tour 450 amp with my Mesa PowerHouse 6x10 cab. I have been looking at replacing my Peavey with a Mesa Carbine M6, however I wanted to ask if anyone has paired a M6 with a PH6x10 and what you think about it?

I play nordsrand basses. I use an alder/rosewood VJ5 with big singles or an Ash/maple VP5. Any bass I've used thru the M6/bergantino AE410 has been amazing.;)

For those who have contacts at Mesa, I have a question. I have read many posts on the extreme sensitivity of the master volume on the Carbine 6 & 9 (haven't read about the 3), some have learned to live with it while others can't. Has anyone asked Mesa why they made them this way, why don't they fix them to have a to have a more gradual taper? I read Mesa's manual and they seem to suggest that the amp sounds the best with gain from 12:00 to 2:00 to get a nice fat sound and again from the post I've read this means the volume goes from low to shake the house down with barely a nudge. Why design it that way?

I presently play a M6 Carbine 2x12 combo...is there anyway to hook up a 4x10 powerhouse cab to the M6?...
I love the 2x12 but someone is offer me a deal I cant turn down with the 4x10...will this work?..if so ...whats your opion?

Well, I put a call into Mesa tech line, they advised me not to hook up my 2x12 combo to the 8 ohm 4x10 cab as the combo is in 4 ohms...If I want to use both at the same time, I will need to purchase a 4 ohm 4x10 cabinet.
I can run separately ...but thats not the intention of having an external cab to my combo.
Bummer....deal down the toilet!!

That's odd. Using the 2 ohm switch you should be able to add the 8 ohm 410 for a 2.67 load.

I had a Carbine Combo and used an external cab running at 2.67 ohms with no problems at all. I ran an 8 ohm Powerhouse 210 under it. It killed.

Love Mesa gear, however, their tech support can be odd at times.
