    A question for Agedhorse.

Is Deoxit expensive? Yes it is. Is it worth it? Yes it is. I'm not a pro, I just use it as required. My tin is still about 90% full, I've only had it about 20 years. For casual use a tin will last a lifetime, that makes it an absolute bargain.

    Renegotiated Pay

Ok it's pretty clear that there were certainly issues of clarity as to what was originally booked. But allow me to play devil's advocate just for the hell of it. I booked Band A to play a gig for 750. Band A has now split and a couple of the original members have formed Band B. The newly...

Peavey Cirrus Crack in neck? Worth Returning or keep?

The answer is simple. You've bought it and you're not happy with it today. You won't be happy with it, tomorrow, next week, next year etc. Problem or not, send it back and get somwthing you are happy with.

Vacuum tubes are making a comeback.

Apparently these things are also making a 'comeback'. Boy they were crap first time round.

    Tune TWB5 potentiometer?

That almost looks like an extension piece fitted to a short pot.

    Best cheap bass tuning keys?

It might just be grit in the gears. A strip, clean and lube may sort it out.

    Badass Bridge on Ibanez SRX500

The original finish on the metal parts would have been Cosmo Black. Over the years it wears and the silver underneath comes through. You may well be looking at a worn finish rather than a dirty one that needs polishing out.

    Springsteen's Got Soul !

Hugely popular artist, covers material away from his usual genre. Marvelous, fans who don't know the source material may well start looking up the originals and expand their musical profile. No losers here.

Looking for basic, inexpensive nut files

I don't get the frequent comments about nut files being to expensive to buy. The last nut I had fitted cost me £50, a set of Hosco bass files cost me £80. They will last several lifetimes. In fact I'd guess if I'd bought them, made one nut and sold them, it would have been cheaper than the one...

Venue outlets have open ground. What does that mean?

Unless you play Death Metal, don't plug and play there until it's made safe.

    eBay horror guitar

After looking at those pictures, I feel the need to wash my hands. I may even disinfect the keyboard.

Phillips Screwdriver's pointed tip question ...........

Yes, the Japanese have their own cross head screwdriver patterns. Probably JIS.

    Tuner "key" unscrewed

I would have thought blue Loctite is the correct option there. Maybe, the whole thing needs taking apart the shaft may be binding and a bit of lube would help.

    Screws and Drivers . . . .

These days when I replace screws on a guitar, I get stainless steel ones from eBay.
