yea, there could have been some better pics in the listing, but actually the first pic on ebay shows enough of it to prove its either not the same guitar or something very bizarre happened in shipping.

Well, the lack of good frontal pics would have been the first clue.

I don't know what these sell like normally. I'd attempt to return it as "not as advertised" but the use of weasel words to describe ethereal qualities and not physical condition might not work in your favor.

Sorry this happened and I hate that people are so dishonest.

Whoa, that's crazy! Worse thing that happened to me was picking up a Fender Classic 60 MIM a couple years ago from a guy in Florida that always photographs his instruments by a pool. And with a super strong filter erasing every blemish possible. When it showed up, it was so discolored (supposed to be Oly White, but was 7 different shades of yellow) that I almost didn't notice all the corrosion on the hardware. I applied for a return immediately and the guy was all offended that I insinuated false advertising. At least I got my money back.
