eBay horror guitar

So, I just bought this guitar..
Epiphone XL Custom WildKat Original Certified Epiphone $350.00 OBO. Final Day MO | eBay

Looked like this:
Screen Shot 2022-06-09 at 6.07.25 PM.png
And was described like this:
This beautiful work of art plays like a dream and Sure to turn heads and bend ears wherever you go. Perhaps the finest Guitar I have ever played. A real joy to play. Action is so smooth. And the frets are perfect. The whole guitar is perfect with out any issues. Super Nice. And Sharp.

I've owned a Wildkat before. I thought I knew what I was getting..

What I got:
IMG_5111.JPG IMG_5110.JPG IMG_5109.JPG IMG_5108.JPG
And the most disgusting poopie covered case and terrible ashtray smells ever. I can't even store this train wreck in my house tonight. It has to be in the basement. It nearly made me puke!

So, off to Reverb to find a better Wildkat.. unless someone here has one they want to part with.. ha.

I put in for a return, it was approved. I'll take a lot more photos (like all of the f holes are full of gunk/puke/grossness). It was also shipped in a box with no padding but a rolled up newspaper at the bottom. Absolutely wild. THE WORST purchase in over 20 years of buying guitars/basses online.

But yeah, definitely didn't use the real guitar in the first photo.. and I didn't think much of it.. Hindsight.

I've heard of items get damaged in shipping, but I've never heard of the ship sinking, the item being recovered from the bottom of the sea, and then delivered.

yikes!!... well imo i dont buy from anyone on that site with just 5 transactions, and no feedback whatsoever. Was that the only photo for the listing?....

i see the sellers name as "michaeblankenshi0".... just replace that last letter with a "T":rollno:

sorry ya got conned on that one..that's lame of them!

There were quite a few more photos if you check the link to the listing.. several of the front.. some of which clearly are not this guitar, and now I can see how some of them were selectively shot.. ha. It's wild that a person would even try to get away this this. Ebay/Paypal is going to have to return my money.. part of the whole buyer protection thing.. so I don't know why the seller would even try it.

I usually don't ever buy from eBay in general, especially from such low reviews.. but he had 100% when I bought it.. that negative came right after I bought the guitar. Also weird because it took him a week to ship. I was like, "Hey man, what's up with the shipping on this? Why hasn't it gone out yet?!" He apologized ("Dear sir, sorry..") and sent me a photo of it at USPS a day later.. Super weird. Before I ship it tomorrow I'll take a few additional photos and put them here for anyone curious about how gross this was.. but those eBay photos make so much more sense now.
