Yes, the rather exposed tuners are one issue. The bigger issue for me is the 35" B string on a multiscale. I would prefer to seen a 37" B string for maximum benefit.

I'm finally pulling the trigger on the Anagram and will be putting together a similar board but probably using a Nano+ so that I can add my Strobostomp ahead of the Anagram. I just can't get rid of that tuner for some reason.

Well, I wasn't aware that there was no balanced DI out on the Tonex. Bummer. I already sold off my Element. That would mean I would have to buy another DI to go with the Tonex for FOH. That makes this less attractive for me.
