my first bass aged 13 was a no frills cheap Encore P bass copy, the cheapest available where i was at the time. i loved it and thought it was so cool, just the best. used to just stare at it leaning against the wall. i kind of miss it, it was sold long ago. so: yes, maybe?

RIP, a real shock. Lots to say about him and his work but that's all I've got for now.
