    Starting my first true build

Thanks for the reply and links. What size planar is necessary? also, would a biscuit jointer be enough, or does it need to be one of the bigger ones combined with the planar?

    Starting my first true build

Hey everyone, it's been a while since I've posted but I'm finally able to be back and I want to do my first real build. I want to start out trying to build a strat style guitar (I know, I know) to try and get used to the process before I build a nice bass. I've been reading through on here and...

    Fender Aerodyne Club!

Just saw I'm on the list twice, at 40 and 71. I only need one number :D

    Fender Aerodyne Club!

I would take mine over any MIM I've played. Remember if you go used, you can also find one with a p-bass body if you're more comfortable with that. That's what I have and it's my #1

Fender PJ -- What are My Options?

I've got 2 P/Js, an Aerodyne P and a Squier Affinity. I love them both, though they do sound different. The Squier is actually much hotter, but that's neither a plus or a minus, just different. Don't rule something out just because it has a low price point

    DINGWALL?

I played my first one a few weeks ago. The GC in Atlanta just got a super J in used and I tried it out and it felt incredible! My first fanned-fret experience and it didn't take any noticeable adjusting, very natural. And the sound was out of this world!

FS: Squier VM 5 Body - Squier Affinity Neck - SX Necks

My Affinity Jazz neck is one of the smoothest playing necks I have :hiding: GLWTS

    The new Affinity Squier P/J

Tuners are the only think on mine I want to replace. They work and stay in tune, but they are sticky and just feel fragile

Just how different is playing fanned frets?

I was at GC yesterday and they had just gotten a used Dingwall Super Jazz in. I have wanted to play one since I first saw one so I plugged it in and it was one of the most comfortable bass I've ever played. I had never played a fanned fret before and it took absolutely no time to get used to

    P/J Preference or Compromise?

I love P/Js. My main bass is a fender aerodyne P and I'm building a fretless P/J. I usually have both the P and the J and about 90%

    NBD: Warwick Thumb NT 6-String!

Beautiful bass! I love the neck wood and the look of the brass frets. I've been wanting to try a german warwick for a while now. Congrats!
