I would take mine over any MIM I've played. Remember if you go used, you can also find one with a p-bass body if you're more comfortable with that. That's what I have and it's my #1

I've got 2 P/Js, an Aerodyne P and a Squier Affinity. I love them both, though they do sound different. The Squier is actually much hotter, but that's neither a plus or a minus, just different. Don't rule something out just because it has a low price point

I played my first one a few weeks ago. The GC in Atlanta just got a super J in used and I tried it out and it felt incredible! My first fanned-fret experience and it didn't take any noticeable adjusting, very natural. And the sound was out of this world!

My Affinity Jazz neck is one of the smoothest playing necks I have :hiding: GLWTS

Tuners are the only think on mine I want to replace. They work and stay in tune, but they are sticky and just feel fragile

Unfortunately Sam, the last I saw the next book isn't supposed to be released until 2016 :/ I read them last summer and loved them. I love the show too
