In praise of WEIRD LOOKING basses!

The black one is really great: I would like to see it on a light background. Me could use a killswitch on it.

    New Ampeg Venture Series

No, same here. The VB88 must be a great cab, but it's way out of my price range. Maybe a used one, one of these days...who knows...

    New Ampeg Venture Series

So what's missing? VB48. Half A Little Fridge - goes along with the name "HALF". Would be perfect for small venues. Compact size and low weight. About 400W RMS, 8 Ohm. Appr. 20kg. Less expensive. I'd be in.

We all know that it's not just a question of the weight...:meh: The VB 88-would be great, ya.

    Official ATK Club (Part 4)

Ok, do I get this right - you plan to get out the triple coil pup and instead install an J sc? I really can't imagine this would be an improvement.

    G&L Club Part 7

I once owned an 80ies SB1. Did let it go for...dunno...somewhat else... :banghead: One of the sales I'll ever regret. The Jazz MFD? How much?

Official Darkglass Club: Welcome to the Darkside

Well, maybe try an Venture series amp with the Ultra Low switch engaged. Sounds very "throaty" IMHO. You may switch between SVT, B15 or clean mode as well.

    G&L Club Part 7

Nay - blue body, white PG and natural headstock...I would go for the tortoise. Or wood-like. Or even golden. Pickguard.
