I really can't read schematics all that well, any pedals I build are from layouts. I'm not trying to take anything away from sfx or destroy their market or anything like that, I just prefer building to buying. However, if I wanted to change one capacitor value, claim it was my own design...

theyre most likely to bias the jfets and ICs that create the effect. Lots of modulation pedals have these because components arent all built identical. messing with them wont ruin the effects, but in all likelihood you could lose the flange effect. just make a note of where they all were if...
