I’ve a tremendous amount of respect for Wal basses, but I find that a lot of Wal users, had them for a while but only for a small few did it become their forever bass. A lot of them had a productive affair with a Wal. Then went back.

The screw to the string shaft is completely recessed. It looks completely different to all that I see... of course it could have been like that but I simply never noticed.

Still for sale? Also Curtis asks for bridge or neck preference when you buy. When I told him my position he recommended the neck version. There is a difference. What was this pickup designed for?

I use the BB800 merely for power. I contemplated a power/pre amp rack situation but decided to go with a pedal pre and the Quilter ran pretty much flat. Works great.
