My first Rush show was also opening for KISS, Spring '75. KISS were touring on Dressed To Kill and I think Rush was in between Fly By Night and Caress Of Steel.
I hear you Andy, I just can't seem to warm up to them and I mean no disrespect to those of you who love them. The best I can say is they look "unbalanced" in a design sort of way while the Reversed just seems to have natural flow in shape. Maybe I'm just odd? ;)
I might get strung up for saying this but... I've never been much of a fan of the NR, it just aesthetically doesn't appeal to me but this somewhat NR-ish bass kinda works for me. Probably really badass with some TBird pups in it instead of the P/J setup.
I was never a big Duran Duran fan although I do get twinges of nostalgia upon hearing some of their songs now but really liked Taylor's bass with Power Station.

It really was a decent amp, I had no problems with it, wasn't looking for something else, portable enough for gigging. Of course, a Marshall bass stack for $300 was a nice upgrade.
