More pics, One thing I noticed is that the routes in the control plate for the switches is a bit slap-dash. One more thing I'm not a huge fan of, but can live with, is that the pick-guard is not held up by a bracket like the Hoffy's. It is a piece of plastic screwed flat to the body.

Just took it out of the box after work, and right away I threw out the strings. I strung up a set of D'Addario Medium scale flats, I'm still working the zing out of them. Build quality feels good, action was almost just right out of the box, same with intonation. The body is entirely...

Allow me to resurrect this thread once again to put out the question: What is the better buy between the Douglas WVEB-833 violin bass or the Epiphone viola bass? I want to add that tone to my stable at a decent price, and I can't justify the Hofners at their current prices.

You can always look used if you really want a Markbass, I got my LMIII head for $280 not to long ago.

In the old old days, that's what the second input jack was for, they just bridged them together with instrument cables.
