like he said, string guage isnt everything. a lot of sets will have different tensions and can affect your bass differently. for me, i would of had to of filed the nut down, :rollno:, to get the 5th string where the 4th should be. i went to dr ddt and never went back for my drop c tuning...

i love the ddt's. didnt like lo riders as much. i tune to drop c, cgcf and the low c rings beautifully! they have plenty of tension and got rid of that sloppy feeling on the low string. the amount of clarity and punch they gave me was awesome! not that its a deal breaker but long story short...

thats what i thought just seemed weird as to why you would want to bypass the sansamp for your own rig on stage. i love the sound i get from mine. :eyebrow:

apologies if this seems like a stupid question but the parallel output you said does not carry the effects of the sansamp DI with it? so what is the point of it if i were to xlr to the PA and then parallel out to my amp. edit: is this the reason for both an output and a parallel output?

agree! a lot of guys hate them too but its that way with any piece of equipment. i have the 382 and absolutely love it! with a passive bass and ss amp it really gives my bass some 'depth'. when amp is eq'd correctly too it can really give great tones! glad you like! :hyper:
