    HAD A BAD GIG TONIGHT.......

I can credit that band with my playing bass. I was the drummer and singer and spent fight time teaching the bass player how to play. Traded my drums for a bass and amp at 17 and never looked back.

    HAD A BAD GIG TONIGHT.......

I played in a band once with two guitar players. They were both really good. They would literally fist fight over who was going to play lead and who rhythm on any given song. Luckily they'd do it at band practice and not at a gig. I miss those guys. They were a hoot. We were 15 years old back...

Tube shootout with the Demeter VTBP-201

Your wife got any sisters? 2 hours of tone reviews? My wife just asks me to use headphones if I play in the house.

    NCD: Euphonic Audio VL-208

I've got one. Also using the Quilter BB 800. It sounds fantastic but most definitely won't handle all of the Quilter.

    SOLD Euphonic Audio VL-208

I've got one of these and it's the sweetest bass sound I've ever heard. Very tempted to get this one to make a pair for my quilter bass block 800

    SOLD Quilter Bass Block 800

I used mine for the first time at rehearsal tonight. I've used everything from Sunn Colesiums to SVTs and loads of GKs but The Quilter sounded fantastic. I could dial in as much sustain as I want and would have blown my 400watt 4ohm 2x10 cab if I wasn't careful. Going to bring my Ampeg 6x10 next...

    Picking the right cabinet

Agree on that 610HLF... I have one in my storage building now along with a V4B twin 15 folded horn Cab. I only pull the 610 out for outside party gigs with limited PA support. It will seriously shake a house loose if you need.

    Guitar Amp for Bass....

I forgot my GK MB500 the other night at band practice. Rather than trying to play through the PA, I borrowed an old 70s MusicMan 100RD from a guitar player. This Amp sounded great through my Dr Bass 2x10 4ohm Cab. Incredible sustain... notes that sounded like fat pillows of sound. Anyway, Have...

    Let's spread some musical misinformation

It's also a great place for bandmates and drummers to put their drinks. The bass cabinet is taller and heavier and less prone to movement if someone bumps it so it's a no brainer to put the drinks on top of the tallest part which is the head. Also the ice in the cups helps keep the tubes cool...
