the new album is mediocre but i still dig his playing. for some reason they have decided to over-produce everything and have moved away from that raw sound they had on the first few albums. i liked it better when i couldn't understand caleb and they looked like they hadn't showered in a week...
you will want something portable dude. at my college we have a few music rooms and it would be a bitch to lug a half stack up and down a few sets of stairs to play in them

Probably done to death, but any thoughts on the Skyline JO 4 v DJ 4? I really want to pull the trigger on a Lakland, but cant make up my mind. From what I have seen on the net, it seems that the DJ is more available than the JO.

I usually reply with "well if you follow that logic, you should have picked up the bass a long time a go".
Sometimes I also give them my bass and ask them to hold down a basic 12 bar blues - haven't had anyone take me up on my offer yet.
The first part of this comment makes no sense at all - I am sure the majority of others in this thread have jobs but still complain about pricing.

Is it hard playing a Rickenbacker finger style? I usually anchor my thumb into the top of the pickup on my J-Bass. If the cover is taken of the Rickenbacker can I anchor into the top of the pickup?
