So this "Sherwood Green" thing... Fender or ???

Got an offer for this in a trade today by a random Craigs-lister. He's not able to find a serial on any visible area of the bass, but has never had it apart. These are the exact 3 photos I received. I have to say that I've never seen anything like this in looks-like-Sherwood green. I'm...

    EP artwork- how to?

I'd go with something with simple, but bold colors, and no more than 2-3 with black or white. Makes it more cost-effective to print, and makes it stand out. You don't have to do a lot graphically. Try something simple instead, so it doesn't get lost in the bin of billions of "portrait" CD...

Parents: Raising Decent Children despite your Douchbag Family and Friends

We've all got them - douchebag friends and/or family members who, while they aren't "Rapist Uncle Charlie" bad, just don't live right. It could be drugs, booze, crime, etc... We love these people because we're able to see past things (sometimes), but at the same time, is it right to even...

how early in life did you discover that

I started early in high school - around 13-14 or so. I played drums at 11, and wanted to start a band with my friends. I was the only one who had instruments, so I learned a little on guitar and bass (mostly AC/DC songs and Nirvana songs) around 1991-1992 and tried to teach a couple friends...

Fool Proof Cover Band Dance Songs

Lots of good ones on this list... here's a couple more that, if you can pull off at a 3 piece, would be pretty different from the normal rock/trio band stuff: Zoot Suit Riot - Cherry Poppin' Daddies Groove is in the Heart - Dee-Lite Gettin' Jiggy Wit It - Will Smith I want your sex -...

    Bass workouts

"Bass Fitness" by Josquin des Prez has about 200, four-finger movable chromatic exercises that, while they start easy, will indeed kill you. It's not musical or interesting - it's just boot camp style, speed and dexterity based all out hell. But it will make you better.

NEW METALLICA SINGLE!!! The Day That Never Comes!!!

Meh... I guess if I ask myself... "Would I care about this if it wasn't a 'Metallica Song'", the answer is pretty much no. It's not good enough to crack my playlist on a normal day, so I'd say... FAIL What do I hate about it? First glance would be the drums, but I realized after...

Question about what amp would work against two tube amps.

I used to run a BA500 combo (450W @ 2 ohms with 2-10's) with an SVT-18 (the cube!), and I easily kept up with a 6550 full stack AND a Krankenstien full. However, my LMII thru an avatar 410 never even stood a chance. Try a 2-15 cab and see how that sounds. You can pick up a cheap 20 year...

So i got walked out on, on a date...

I was walked out on years ago by a girl during dinner, but I instigated it by telling her straight out that I did not want to "be with her". We weren't serious, and she wanted to be, but I didn't. Was simple as that. She left and I finished my meal, had a beer, paid and went home.

Were you a metalhead in high school?

Total metal head in high school, and a total thrash freak after my first trip to Toronto in '92, when I was introduced to Sacrifice, Razor, Slaughter, etc...

Another Markbass Thread - LMII as a pre?

Thanks guys, appreciate the help. I absolutely love the LMII through the 410, so it looks like I'll be looking for something to drive the 212 pretty soon. (of course, I could always just buy a second LMII... )
